Kathy Hamilton a.k.a. simikathy (click here) has asked me to appear on her BlogTalk Raido show. The date is December 9th at 7pm.
Kathy is part of the PerfectNetworker organization and is a member there as well. Here’s the link to my page at PerfectNetworker. While I belong to more than 30 social networks across the web, this is the only group that’s offered to interview me on the subject of my choosing. While there are lots of things I could talk about, my passion is our “Program of Change for America™.”
After President Obama was elected, it was clear the Federal Government was trying, really trying to effect change. It occurred to me and others of us with our company, C4 WorldWide, Inc. that the private sector should be challenged to help. We saw that the two primary issues are (in order) jobs and homes. From that basic idea of need, we put together a program that will employ thousands of people and provide homes to even more people. We’ve also designed a way to re-engage and revitalize rural areas often referred to as “Small Town America.” If we don’t help them become self sufficient they’ll migrate to the larger cities and they’re not prepared for that influx of people. Using Asset based organization we know how to change that. So, as a corporation we’ve pledged 95% of all our profits from the acquisition of Real Estate Assets toward our push for “A Program of Change for America™.”
Isn’t the point of any method of communication to be understood? Let me begin by saying I’m not an expert and I don’t hold myself out as one either. I’m the receiver of more than 100 pieces of business email per day. To some, that’s nothing. Even when you add more than 75 junk or spam email to the mix, I’m not a heavy email receiver as are some people I know.
Everyday, I see what should be commonsense completely ignored in the email from companies that want our business. The graphic at the left is good because it reminds us all, or should that the solution is within our own hands.
So, it occurred to me today that perhaps I could be helpful. If others comment, they may be helpful as well. We’ll see. Anyway, here goes. (more…)
The DR Rawson Blog and website have been completely redesigned. I have two people to thank for this. The first is my daughter’s business partner Mindy Golden-King she is not only has become a great friend but she is incredibly talented. Thanks Mindy.
The other person is Katy Rawson-Castro, my daughter. This site is my Father’s Day present and what a fantastic gift. Katy is an incredible web designer and graphic artist. Their company (shameful plug) is called Kiss My Code. It can be found here. Thank you for this wonderful gift.
By my count this is the 4th generation of this site and it is now fully web 2.0 compliant. It also fully integrates my Blog with website content. Its design will allow me and those within my company that help me, to make this site even more relevant. My view is that websites, even personal ones, shouldn’t be static. As a human being I’m changing and growing all the time. Personally, I’ve always challenged myself to learn new things and once learned the lessons should be shared. (more…)
